Presidente Jorge W. Bush: A Conservative Speaks Out

“Those determined to find fault with this bill will always be able to look at a narrow slice of it and find something they don’t like. If you want to kill the bill, if you don’t want to do what’s right for America , you can pick one little aspect out of it.” – Presidente Jorge W. Bush
Formally known as President George W. Bush, I will now refer to him as Presidente Jorge W. Bush. His support of this amnesty bill in the senate has me, a conservative, spitting nails.
“But Orlando,” you might ask, “as a Hispanic, wouldn’t you be supportive of this bill?” Let’s not mix political philosophy with ethnicity. Yes I’m a Hispanic, Latino, Chicano, Mexican-American…pick your politically correct term. More importantly, I am an AMERICAN. I love this country, I fought in a war for this country, and I want what is best for it.
On the other hand, Presidente Jorge W. Bush wants to legalize 12-20 million illegal immigrants. This is WRONG on so many levels.
- It creates a huge underclass of poor people.
- It could destroy social security as millions join the entitlement program.
- INS gets millions of citizen applications a year and they are already backlogged. Imagine adding 20 million instantly.
- The background check on this bill only allows 1 day.
- It puts trust in an inefficient and bureaucratic government.
- The current laws are not being enforced. What makes us think these new laws will be enforced?
- What happened to the 700-mile border fence promised and funded previously?
- It rewards illegal behavior.
- It undermines the rule of law.
- It will reduce hard working American’s pay by infusion of millions willing to work for less.
- It will encourage a rush to the border by more illegal immigrants.
- It allows the 12-20 million to eventually bring in their families so 100 million could be the end result.
- It sends the message that our borders do not need to be respected.
- The government has no way to test English proficiency for 12-20 million people.
- It changes the entire culture of the United States .
- It’s just dead wrong!
I could go on but then I’d be hotter than habanero chile. Maybe if I speak the language of Presidente Jorge W. Bush he might understand me. Por favor Señor Bush. Yo no quiero “an amnesty bill.”
Technorati : Bush, amnesty, illegal immgration, undocumented workers

In addition to rewarding illegal behaviour, you may also add that it is insulting and demeaning to those that came here legally, and those waiting in line to come here legally from all over the world.
I just wrote about it in my blog a few days ago, http://www.thejunglereport.com
