I’m a Liberal Spy

I’m not really a spy but liberals think I’m liberal.  Therefore, I let them speak their mind and, consequently, became a covert agent by default.  You see, I fit their stereotype of the typical Democrat–minority, poor childhood, academic, educated, and I even drove a Toyota  Prius for awhile. 

So, with their generalizations intact, they pour their political soul out.  And it is disturbing.  The relentless attacks on Bush based purely on emotion with few or distorted facts, the anti-Christian rants of “those people” looking to “overthrow our freedoms,” the alienation from military perspectives,  and the constant promotion of a leftover 60’s liberal pap.

I let them talk their liberal hearts out.  It helps me to see their dysfunctional, warped thinking.  And I’m not talking about the uneducated poor.  I’m talking about masters and doctoral level individuals with the logic and forethought of a donut.

It never occurs to them that I’m a Christian and former Gulf War veteran which would lend itself to being more Conservative.  I would gladly tell them if they asked.  They never ask me why I drove a hybrid (some liberal schmuck sold it cheap and I turned around and made a profit on it). Nor do they bother to ask me about my rags to riches story.  A story based on my belief in personal responsibility, hard work, and zero dependence of government.

So liberals, be careful who you stereotype.  They may not be your preordained liberal.  They may actually be Conservative just like me and a liberal spy by default.
