chicken outfit Is your site or blog stuck in a deep, dark corner of the internet where few visit?  You are not alone.  Web-wise, we tend to go with our first instincts–Digg.com, MySpace, Facebook, or the other web leaders.  However, consider some of the up-and-coming sites to promote your blog:

BloggBuzz

It is still in alpha but their description states: “Blogg-Buzz is a blogger driven site, exclusively for bloggers like you, to share, discover and promote blog posts that you find interesting!”

BUMPzee

In their words:  “When you join a community, you are fed with an ever-updating list of blogs and blog posts submitted and chosen by like-minded individuals. Blogs are approved into a community by a community manager and their posts are pulled in automatically. Community members ‘bump’ the great posts so you can read everything as well as see what others think are the best ones.”

PlugIM

Here’s how they describe it: “PlugIM is a user driven internet marketing community. Submit content, share articles, comment on projects and promote your favorites to the front page. If its internet marketing related, plug it on PlugIM.”

Spotplex

Their description: “Spotplex more accurately reflects what people read most today. Based on an algorithm-based measuring system that analyzes readers? behavior in real time, Spotplex?s popular content rankings come from actual impressions, or ?reads?. This impartial process gives every blogger a better opportunity to be heard.”

Sphinn

In their words: “Sphinn is a social site for search and interactive marketers. It’s designed to allow you to share and discover news stories, read and take part in discussions, discover events of interest and network with others.”

MarkTD

MarkTD is a new site focusing on “marketing news for marketers by marketers.”  It works similar to Digg in that you vote stories up.

Stirrdup

This from their FAQs: “Stirrdup is about promoting content that encourages spirited conversation. You submit all the great stories you find on the internet. We calculate the interest in them using our passive-voting system and then promote the ones that are stirring the proverbial pot. The system is designed to eliminate the group censorship and stagnation that plagues other sites.”

lol! You’re right, John! We haven’t forgotten about GOPHub altogether though – we have plugged the site a couple of times, here.

Speak Your Mind

This comment section is for the readers of Ft. Hard Knox, a place for political conservatives to share information about online activism. We are not "fair and balanced," and we aren't refereeing a "free speech zone." Intelligent, funny, and on-topic comments are welcome. Trolls, spam, and liberal propaganda are not. We may occassionally approve a comment with an obvious lefty-slant so that we can amuse ourselves by making fun of it, but most will be deleted. (Why? Because we're busy, we have lives, and when we want to talk to you we'll go visit you on Digg or the Daily KOS.)

This is a private blog, and we reserve the right to make up our own rules as we go along. The few comments which manage to squeak by our censors reflect the opinion of the commentator, and not necessarily the staff of Ft. Hard Knox.

Hint: One sure-fire way to get your comment sent directly to the "spam" folder is to call us "racists" for disagreeing with a policy of the current POTUS or speaking out against terrorism.

Your photo will display with your comment if you use gravatars.
