Democrats: The Washington Generals of Our Time

Democrats are the equivalent of the Washington Generals who played the Harlem Globetrotters and lost over 13,000 times. Democrats have failed at every step–health care reform, Iraqi timelines, immigration, getting Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, and the list goes on.

Sure they put on a good show for their liberal base but they are the ultimate defeatists. Of course, most Democrats and liberals don’t realize they are the joke.

During their career, the Generals won only 6 games. The Democrats have yet to win one. They have been putting all their money on the Iraq war but USA Today is reporting in their headline, “Gallup: Iraq War is ‘not necessarily a winning issue’ for Democrats.”

Joseph Carroll of the Gallup Poll wrote in his evaluation of the poll (my emphasis):

…that “despite public dissatisfaction with the war, it is not necessarily a winning issue for Democratic candidates…This finding suggests that national security issues — so important in the winning presidential campaign of George W. Bush in 2004 — could still be a positive factor for the Republican nominee next year.

It’s looking like another loss for the Generals…I mean…Democrats as they head in to 2008.
