Has Global Warming Jumped the Shark?

Have you noticed the absence of global warming articles and how Al Gore came and went.  The weather hasn’t been so bad.  Consequently, there is no opportunity by the sky-is-falling-Chicken-Little’s of the world to bash our heads with a Toyota Prius.  Global warming may have jumped the shark.

Jump the shark refers to the time Fonzie from Happy Days jumped over a shark on water skis still wearing his leather jacket. The was the beginning of the end. 

A simple Google News search of global warming turns up a fraction of the stories months ago.  Paradoxically, it is summer…the hottest time of year and you would expect to see a plethora of “the end is near” articles.  Nope.  There’s a few crickets chirping but it’s pretty quiet with the end of the word, drive a Prius or die fanatics. 

I think global warming has jumped the shark.
