10 Suggestions For Ron Paul To Connect With Conservatives

Let me be direct.  Ron Paul is doing nothing to win Conservatives over.  Conservatives are a hop, skip, and a jump away from Libertarians.  Ron Paul is a Libertarian.  However, I do not perceive any connection with Ron Paul personally or within the Conservative community.  Here are 10 suggestions to help Ron Paul connect with Conservatives:

• Start focusing on what you have in common with Conservatives and not what makes you different from them.
• Create a connection with Ronald Reagan.  Conservatives like myself adore Reagan.
• Play up similar pro-life issues shared with Conservatives.
• Talk about how you and Conservatives share the same view on illegal immigration.
• Discuss the common denominator of fiscal responsibility with Conservatives.
• Discuss how your message of gun control is similar to Conservatives.
• Downplay retreating in Iraq–it comes off sounding like a cut-and-run liberal message. 
• Soften your message on International Criminal Court (ICC), NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and CAFTA as being a threat.  It sounds isolationist.
• Attack Democrats.  I come across more articles in the news of you attacking Republicans than Democrats.
• Be your REVOLUTION–LOVE.  Be a messenger of love and you will get everyone’s attention.

Dr. Paul, it is your responsibility to build a bridge to Conservatives.  You or your supporters may argue that you are doing that but I am being sincere when I say that is not true for us Conservatives.  We are here but you are in a different place.  Listen to these words carefully:  We can not be convinced to go to you until you first come to us.
