Justin Higgins: Right Logic

logo.png I had the pleasure of talking with high school senior Justin Higgins, of Right on the Right, a few nights ago about blogging, school, and his upcoming plans to attend the Gathering of Eagles in Washington D.C..

For anyone who doesn’t know, Justin suddenly became a little bit famous a while back for calling the Rush Limbaugh show, and impressing Rush with his strong conservative stance even though he comes from a very liberal community (more about that here).

I asked Justin how it was that he came to be conservative, in spite of the fact that even his parents have more liberal political views. His repsonse? “Logic, I guess.”

He sent me some photos of the last Gathering of Eagles, where he and thousands of other conservatives held a counter-protest to a liberal anti-war rally. We couldn’t help sharing a chuckle at the absurdity of some of the statements made by the liberal protesters, but Justin takes the importance of this event and his online political blogging very seriously.

On his mutli-media blog, www.rightontheright.com he discusses topics of interest to all conservatives (teens and adults), such as education, illegal immigration, terrorism, and congressional legislation. It’s a great blog – check it out.

Justin, and his friend, Wild Bill of Passionate America, are raising donation money so that they can attend the Gathering of Eagles in Washington, D.C.. If you’d like to help, please go here. Justin hosts a radio program on his website, and will be holding an all-night marathon on Friday night to meet his financial goals for this important trip. To listen in, click here.
