The Evangelical Atheists

Atheists have become evangelical about their anti-theism.  They have become what they detest the most.   Led by Richard Dawkins, they are spreading the news throughout the world with their zealous preaching.

According to Dictionary.com, evangelical (beyond the Christian reference) means “marked by ardent or zealous enthusiasm for a cause” or “an adherent of evangelical doctrines or a person who belongs to an evangelical church or party.”  The original Greek word is evangelistes meaning “bringer of good news.”  Their “good news”… their doctrine is the absence of God in their life.

Atheists are evangelicals!  Not only are they spreading the word of atheism, they are spreading it on television.  This makes them television evangelists.   One look at Richard Dawkins upcoming television appearances shows he is the leading TV evangelical atheist.

They are zealously enthusiastic for their cause.  Paradoxically, the very thing they seek to avoid, they have become–preachers.  They gather to sing the praise of Godlessness and pay homage to their religion of “no faith.”  Religion: “the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices” (Dictionary.com).

In reality, atheists are no different than the Christians they denounce.  They just have a different evangelical message.
