sitrep1.JPG Virgil Griffith, of the Santa Fe Institute, has a created a program called WikiScanner to find out which organizations are editing wikipedia. For FHK members particularly interested in the Wikipedia info wars, this is a powerful tool to track specific types of changes.

WikiScanner allows you to search by the organization’s name, by its location, or using user-submitted data regarding specific organizations’ IP addresses. Right now, with all of the publicity, its running a bit slowly, but I’m sure Virgil will be working out the wrinkles over time. Very cool concept. Check it out.
