Pligg according to its creators is, “Pligg is an open source content management system available for download at no cost.” It is a social bookmarking system which allows user voting, similar to Digg.com. An example of a site that has been developed using Pligg software is GOPHub – a favorite of FHK.
Pligg is for sale here, and here. It’s largest customer, VideoSift, has reportedly dropped the service, which may or may not affect the net worth of the the Pligg system.
SocialNews is reporting that the current asking price is $150,000 which might be more than it’s currently worth. Hey, make your best offer…who knows?
