Reality vs. Ron Paul vs. Barack Obama

If the internet were a judge of who would be the Republican and Democratic presidential nominee the answer would be easy–Ron Paul vs. Barack Obama in 2008.  On MySpace, FaceBook, internet polls, news sharing sites, and more these two candidates have a commanding presence.  But then there is reality.

In reality, both Obama and Paul are well behind the front runners. The internet is NOT a good pulse of sensibility.  It is, too some extent, a make believe world where we can balloon ourselves and others.  Inversely, we can also demonize them.  The truth is the internet operates with one foot in fantasy and the other in reality.  We can find credible information on the internet but it can also be manipulated.

Both Paul and Obama are more like fantasy football candidates.  They have been drafted to lead their respective movements.  But in reality their performance on the field will be the true judge.  The field is the real world outside the internet.
