pinatadonkey1.jpg“TRUST US. WE ARE THE PARTY THAT KEEPS ITS PROMISES!” - Insert name here: ______________ (Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, et al.)

Howard Dean: I will use whatever position I have in order to root out hypocrisy. Democrats have strong moral values. Frankly, my moral values are offended by some of the things I hear on programs like "Rush Limbaugh," and we don't have to put up with that.

…and: Real Democrats don't make promises they can't keep.

Nancy Pelosi: Americans will no longer tolerate the Republicans' continued abuses of power and catering to corporate special interests. (Author’s Note: What does she call immigrants who have refused to learn basic English?)

On 09/05/2007: September is a critical month. Right now, today, we are having hearings in the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Armed Services Committee. As you know, we also have a hearing next week to hear the President's plan presented by General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker. After that, we will have something to say on that subject.

Yet, on 01/10/2007: Iraqi political leaders will not take the necessary steps to achieve a political resolution to the sectarian problems in their country until they understand that the U.S. commitment is not open-ended. Escalating our military involvement in Iraq sends precisely the wrong message and we oppose it.

Hillary Rodham Clinton: I have said that I'm not running and I'm having a great time being pres — being a first-term senator."
—on her presidential ambitions

Democrats to campaign in Florida despite pledge: Three days after signing a pledge not to campaign for Florida's presidential primary, the leading Democratic candidates are moving forward with their campaigns here.

…Now: Coral Gables, Fla. —Ã‚ Democratic presidential candidates were meeting Sunday night for the first debate broadcast entirely in Spanish, the clearest sign yet of the growing influence of Hispanic voters.

It seems Democrat promises are like piñatas – made to be broken.
