I See an Awful Trend Developing

Lately I hear more and more people who either claim to be a soldier or an ex-soldier decrying the war we are fighting to rid the world of Islamic terrorism. And in at least HALF the cases, when pressed, the person will not give information about where they serve, what unit, etc, etc. I thoroughly believe that nine out of ten of the people I hear claiming such things are trying to dupe the audience into thinking that they are real patriots, and its disgusting.

But that really is the Left’s modus operandi, isn’t it? They decry the Bush administration as liars, and then turn around and lie to try to get their message out. The Koslamists, the MoveOn’ers, the Moonbats - They are all getting into the act.

Here are a couple examples:

MoveOn.org’s recent claim to have raised a half million in donations based upon the President’s recent speech. Where is the proof of these “messages from vets and military family members kept pouring into our email” are from anyone other than the same fringe kooks we always hear from? Or that that money, if it exists, isn’t fresh out of Old Georgie Boy Soros’s own pocket?
• Phony soldier Jesse MacBeth - This guy deserves the jail time he is getting for falsely claiming to be a serving soldier in Iraq, but even more time for the gross lies he told once he claimed it.

Listen to just about ANY conservative radio talk show - I hear several a day call in and claim to be a trooper, only to cower away from giving any sort of real evidence to that effect.

This is not to say that I have not heard REAL soldiers complain. But do you know what the majority of them I hear are complaining about? That bureaucratic meddling has led to the dragging out of this war and its potential to be lost.

Friends, just because someone claims a military background does not make them credible. Especially when they are not willing to offer real information to back it up.
