The Demonization of Blackwater

If you are a liberal, it is time to take out the demonization playbook.  Blackwater is in the news and the liberal blogosphere is buzzing with hate.  As a result of the stupidity of a few, the entire organization must be condemned in the liberal mind.  Of course, most don’t have the foggiest idea what they are talking about but that has never stopped liberals in the past.

What is Blackwater?  Blackwater describes themselves as such:

We are a professional military, law enforcement, security, peacekeeping, and stability operations firm who provides turnkey solutions. We assist with the development of national and global security policies and military transformation plans.

In short, they are trained civilians hired to assist the military in areas such as law enforcement, security, peacekeeping, and military support areas.  The vast majority of employees are former military members.  The company abides by the International Peace Operations Association Code of Conduct.  Those who do not meet Blackwater’s code of ethics are removed.  Like any organization, they may have a tiny few bad seeds but that doesn’t mean the leadership or the entire organization is bad…except, of course, if you are liberal.

To the liberal left, Blackwater is evil incarnate.  Consider some of the blog articles about Blackwater:

Stealth Lesbian: “Blackwater is the Bush family’s private army (funded at taxpayer expense of course), and like Hitler’s SS they operate death squads everywhere they go.”

Boy Meets Blog: “For one man, the War of Bush / Cheney / Haliburton Oil was his golden ticket to massive wealth and an extraordinary level of influence and menacing power. Meet Erik Prince, born and raised in Holland, Michigan, and one of the country’s most dangerous men.”

Barbara Tchatzkahs: “As long as the nation is in wars both parties support and the Christian Right is dominant, companies like Blackwater will thrive. With them, wars are easier to get into and harder to end meaning the culture of militarism will grow abroad and at home that’s part of the Christian Right’s agenda to impose its extremist theocratic rule…”

There are literally hundreds more liberal blogs like this — incoherent, stupid, and over-the-top.  Common sense doesn’t seem to creep into the liberal mind for some reason. 

Think about it.   If you had a successful company that was doing well and growing, would you want to lose it all?  Yet, the dim-witted liberals immediately take the darkest and dumbest route towards conspiracy.  Of course, what can we expect from an ideology that gave us buffoons like Ted Kennedy, Michael Moore, Barbara Streisand, Barbara Boxer, and Maxine Waters?
