It’s Time for Ron Paul to Drop Out of the Race

lone runner Ron Paul has fought the good fight, he has amassed an impressive grassroots campaign, and he has gotten his name out of obscurity.  Despite all his successes he has never risen past the low single digits in the polls.  It is time for Ron Paul to step down.

Those who have run a race (i.e., 5K, 10, etc.) know there is a point where you inherently know you can go no faster.  You see others passing you by and try as you may, you can’t seem to catch up.  This is Ron Paul.  I commend his effort but watching from the stands it is clearly apparent he does not have the political strength of other runners like Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, and Mitt Romney.

Sure, he can continue to run but why?  At best all he will be able to say is he finished.  That is very little comfort.  By dropping out now, Ron Paul will save his followers future heartache and pain.  Ron Paul, thank you for a good effort but consider dropping out of the race now.
