The Wall Street Journal Online explains how to know whether that new gadget just out on the market is one we need to purchase right now! or if we should wait on it.

Here are some rules of thumb:

• Computers: Wait as long as you can….
• Digital Cameras: Wait one year.
• High-Definition Video: Wait until the dust settles.
• Software: Wait one month.
• Televisions: Wait one year.
• Videogame Systems: Wait for cutting-edge videogames to be released.
