When I started back to school a few years ago after a longer-than-planned break, I was abruptly jolted into the internet age, and soon discovered that the liberal elite of the world were using this wonderful new technology to methodically structure an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth,” which, of course, had very little to do with the “Truth.”
As a Christian conservative and patriotic American, I was shocked to discover that the foundational principles upon which our country was built, and on which I was raised had been buried under pages and pages of political correctness propoganda. So I set about discovering what it would take to change that, and give the politically-conservative viewpoint a voice online.
There were some great conservative websites out there, but they were not keeping pace with technology, or adapting to the needs of the internet generation. Conservative individualism was losing to the liberal group-think. So I did my best to learn about social networking online, and, being a bit technochallenged, found some very kind and helpful computer-oriented folks to help me with the “technical” stuff, and I’m particularly grateful to Ron Goodwyne for helping get the Ft. Hard Knox blog up and running, and for keeping it looking great.
After a while, I was fortunate enough to meet up with some other great folks…many of whom are listed in the “FHK Authors” section in the side bar, and we started a group online to help political conservatives become more active in the Web 2.0 Environment, and we became Ft. Hard Knox. These folks come from a lot of different backgrounds and offer a variety of perspectives – all with the common goal of promoting conservatism. I feel priviledged to work with each and all of them.
In addition to promoting conservatism online, my passion is also preserving the Christian Heritage of the United States, and to exhort 21st century Americans to live in a manner that is deserving of the sacrifices made by earlier Americans. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:48 b-c, KJV)
Although I am a Methodist, and a Republican, my desire is not to promote any denomination or political party, but to remain true to the ideals of religious liberty, as described by George Washington: “For you, doubtless, remember that I have often expressed my sentiment, that every man, conducting himself as a good citizen, and being accountable to God alone for his religious opinions, ought to be protected in worshipping the Deity according to the dictates of his own conscience.” (To the United Baptist Churches in Virginia, May 10, 1789)
Throughout the history of our country, from the Mayflower Compact through the American Revolution, and from the foundation of our government to the daily prayers that are still uttered in Congress, the Bible, prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ, and thanksgiving to Divine Providence have been an integral part of our lives as Americans. In humble gratitude, therefore, to God and to our forefathers, my goal is to learn about and live out the covenant of federalism that has made our country great and has given our nation an important place in the history of Christianity.
She is a real world academic with conservative views and the ability to develop a cohesive team. She is a resident of the United States and continues to relocate as required to accomplish her personal goals.
Her ability to see outside the box and grasp the big picture has served both the cause of conservatism and the Fort Hard Knox Project. – TXPoet
