The Word From Seattle — Looney

I’m in Seattle for a couple of days and found out this city is a hotbed of liberalism.  Upon arriving at the hotel, I immediate put my bags down and went to find a place to eat because I was famished.  Two minutes on the streets of Seattle…two minutes…I get accosted by a group of left-wing loonies who wanted me to sign their Impeach Cheney petition.

The one that came up to me was a typical Caucasian liberal with Rastafarian dreadlocks shoving this petition in my face screaming, “We must stop Bush. We must stop Cheney.  Sign this petition.” 

I look at the guy and said, “I like Cheney and I voted for George Bush” …dramatic pause… “twice.”  Holy mother of liberalism.  I thought the guy was going to crap in his pants.  His jaw dropped, he starred in amazement, and could not muster a response.  It was readily apparent nobody had actually challenged him and he was frozen like stone.  I starred at his frozen face for a moment and turned around and left.  After 10 steps I looked back and he was still frozen there, mouth wide open.

As I walked down the street, I saw beggar after beggar seeking a handout from similarly dressed Rastafarian dreadlocks liberals only to be ignored.  I found it odd that such liberals who espouse helping the poor are the first to ignore them when they ask for it.  When I was approached, I offered a dollar.  I had always learned from my mother, “What’s a dollar to you? If you want to give it to someone, go ahead.”  It was good advise then and now.

Anyhow, my adventures in the land of liberalism will continue for a couple more days.   Cheers from Seattle, Washington.
