Bugs!

Anti-war protesters, 9-11 conspiracy believers, and socialist politicians are now worried about robotic bugs spying on them. Finally we have succeeded in our misdirection. While they are looking for bugs we can now use our thought reading machines there will be little chance of discovery. The machines have been perfected and in use for several years.

When initial field trials were held at the 2004 Democratic Convention and we got no readings we thought we had failed.
