We received this today from James Richardson, of the RNC eCampaign:

Folks,

If you ever had any qualms with considering Hillary Clinton a cold, calculating politician, you may as well throw that out the window. Recent allegations have surfaced that Hillary, as first lady of Arkansas, “listened to a secretly recorded audiotape of a phone conversation of [Bill] Clinton critics plotting their next attack.” (Natta Jr. and Jeff Gerth, Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Clinton)

If these allegations are correct, Senator Clinton owes an enormous explanation to the voters of Arkansas. Why was she wire-tapping her enemies’ conversations for personal, political gain – are her policies really that weak? Just a few years later she voted against a bill which would allow the government wiretapping powers to investigate foreign terrorism suspects. Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart said Hillary’s hypocrisy “Knows no bounds.” Indeed, this is Democrat hypocrisy at its best, or worst rather. It seems that Hillary would rather eavesdrop on her political opponents then focus on where the next attack on America may be staged.

Unfortunately for Hillary, she has a history – one riddled with voting discrepancies and inconsistencies. In addition to explaining to America’s voters why they should favor her failed HillaryCare policies, she will now have to explain why wire-tapping is perfectly ok for her personal gain, yet protecting the homeland is an infringement of personal rights and liberties.

Saulius “Saul” Anuzis, Michigan GOP Chairman, accuse Clinton of “The highest form of hypocrisy,” and cited this as a “Clear example of how the Clintons will stop at nothing to recapture the White House.” Hillary’s campaign team will expect to deal with problems like this over the course of the year, as you can only hide from your history for so long….
