FHK Progress and Changes

The Ft. Hard Knox project is happy to announce that as of November 5, 2007, we’ve had 50,000 unique visits to our blog (in less than six months)! Many thanks to our members, authors, and staff, with special thanks to Orlando, our blog editor, for working so hard to promote the project through social networking and excellent writing.

We have made some exciting changes throughout the project:

  • We have updated our theme and format on the blog, as well as our logo. We hope you enjoy the new colors, fluid width, and more attractive formatting, all designed to make your experience more enjoyable. The new logo was designed especially for FHK, to be used in a variety of venues. If you are currently using the SitRep Button with the old logo, and would like to update to the new version, please click here.
  •

  • We have moved the discussion forum to our new Facebook Group. Users will need a Facebook Login ID to access the group – current Facebook members may use their existing Facebook ID’s. This change was done because the old discussion forum was being underutilized, and because the new Facebook venue will help us, as a project, work toward our goal of helping conservatives become more active in the Web 2.0 environment. For those unfamiliar with Facebook, it is a “social utility…made up of lots of separate networks based around things like schools, companies, and regions.” (Take a tour, here.)
  •

  • By popular demand, we have opened up the comments on our blog posts, once again. You will need a valid name and e-mail address to post a comment, but you don’t have to sign up as a member of FHK unless you want to. Some comments will be moderated, and some may be deleted. The comments section is an extension of the discussion forum, and commenters will follow the same rules as the discussion forum.

As always, we welcome your feedback. Please let us know if we can do anything to make Ft. Hard Knox more useful for you. (E-Mail forthardknox@gmail.com)

Speak Your Mind

This comment section is for the readers of Ft. Hard Knox, a place for political conservatives to share information about online activism. We are not "fair and balanced," and we aren't refereeing a "free speech zone." Intelligent, funny, and on-topic comments are welcome. Trolls, spam, and liberal propaganda are not. We may occassionally approve a comment with an obvious lefty-slant so that we can amuse ourselves by making fun of it, but most will be deleted. (Why? Because we're busy, we have lives, and when we want to talk to you we'll go visit you on Digg or the Daily KOS.)

This is a private blog, and we reserve the right to make up our own rules as we go along. The few comments which manage to squeak by our censors reflect the opinion of the commentator, and not necessarily the staff of Ft. Hard Knox.

Hint: One sure-fire way to get your comment sent directly to the "spam" folder is to call us "racists" for disagreeing with a policy of the current POTUS or speaking out against terrorism.

Your photo will display with your comment if you use gravatars.
