My favorite Thanksgiving memory is my childhood Thanksgivings at Grandma’s house…running around, playing ball in the yard with people and pets all over the place. It was crazy, but so much fun. And she was a fabulous cook.
Probably the best ones were the last few I can remember before my mother passed away. They just were not the same after that.
Family is the thing. My mother had lots of brothers and sisters who had lots of kids and grandkids. When I was a kid we went to Granny’s house and there were probably 50-60 people there. Of course, that wasn’t so terribly different from a normal Sunday afternoon.
