This statement makes me so angry! While it is true that Mary was a vigrin, she had a choice. She could have said ‘NO’ but she said ‘YES’. No one else will have to answer the question she was asked, no one else will be chosen to bring the Lord into the world as a baby. You make a choice to have sex, and when you make that choice you accept the possibilty of pregnancy. Mary accepted the pregnancy. So, after this card of bringing Christ to the world has been played, ABSTINENCE IS 100% EFFECTIVE. And even if there WAS a chance (which there isn’t) that you would be asked to bear God in your body, YOU COULD STLL SAY NO. Hence- it is 100% effective.
