Yes, the amazing Ron Goodwyne, our IT Guy got us back up to a point, but we’ve decided to take this opportunity to do some serious work on the site. Feel free to look through the archives…we’ll be back in a few days, better than ever.

Election 2008: The Next President (Part 1 of 3)
December 31, 2007 by Nikitas

…of Nikitas3.com
We are in the trajectory of another Presidential election year, and the rhetoric is getting hot. With the nation polarized on many issues – though not nearly so much as just six months ago when Iraq was looking bleak and Bush was looking cooked – there is much focus on each and every word, wink and nod in the cornucopia of debates. And with Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton at one point refusing even to commit to a yes-or-no answer on whether she concurred with her own New York State governor over his plan to grant drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens, the voters are getting a genuine taste of the candidates beyond the beauty-pageant aspect of the coming race.
We are being told that 2008 is a “watershed” year, when the nation will decide whether to go this way or that on many critical issues, and indeed that is true. To add to the volatility, it appears that after 8 years of a Republican in the White House, along with the hard-leftward drift of the Democrats, the media are pressing for change more than ever, and will do everything possible to obscure the true positions of the Democrat candidates. When a very liberal Illinois Senator Barack Obama won’t talk specifics, but starts talking flowery about bringing the nation together in one big happy family, it’s time to pull out the nonsense meter and take a true reading of his intentions rather than allowing the media to gloss over his comments with swooning reviews of his style. Okie Campaigns congratulates Senator Randy Brogdon, who said:
We are charged with being good stewards of the state’s resources…Making the appropriations process completely transparent and easily accessible to our citizens is simply the right thing to do, because in reality, every dollar the Legislature appropriates belongs to the citizens.
Senator Brogden explained that the Oklahoma program is modeled on the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006, introduced by Tom Coburn and Barack Obama.

What do you get from when you guzzle down sweets,
Eating as much as an elephant eats?
Where are you at when you’re terribly fat?
What do you think will come of that?
Doo, doo, do-do-doo!
I don’t like the looks of this!
Oompa Loompa Doompadee Dah
If you’re not greedy you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Oompa Loompa doompadee do!

Facts About so-called Squibs

Those so-called“squibs” conspiracy theorists are always pointing to are not proof of controlled demolition and the proof is here. Those “blasts” begin with a brief spurt, then increase, which is the reverse of how explosives work. There is also the fact that in a controlled demolition, large amounts of explosives are placed on ALL floors- this is true even for small buildings. In addition, a lot of those squibs are just tiny little wisps of smoke. Furthermore, once the floors above the damaged areas began to collapse ( due to the fact that the damaged areas could no longer support the weight), there’s no way the lower floors could have survived the impact. Which is it? Global warming or another ice age?

On occasion I have the painful opportunity to talk to individuals about “Global Warming”. Those that are zealous believers, in my experience, tend to be young and liberal. The reason age is important is that I remember my teachers telling me as a child that we were destroying the planet because of pollution. Problem is that back in the 70’s we were being told that it was a coming Ice Age that would overtake the planet. If you are a Global Cooling Denier then here are some excerpts from a Time article on the subject from 1974 titled Another Ice Age?.

Why the Hell can’t you leave me alone with a nice cuppa? -Chuck Heston.
“Tea is one of the main stays of civilization in this country, as well as in Eire, Australia and New Zealand”-George Orwell. The Evening Standard for January 12, 1946.
AC/DC, the great Australian rock band, actually prefers and longs for, a nice cup of tea back stage. It’s true. They’re not boozers, but perhaps surprisingly typical Australians of Scottish immigrant background teetotallers.
Hey, man I heard there was some really hot tea brewing! Hey, there is? Aah, Ceylon Gold leaf. -A lost beatnik.

The Hunters become the Hunted…? (Mike Huckabee Scares the Bejabbers out of some Iowa Papparazzi.)

Jim Tankersley, of The Chicago Tribune, reports:
Republican Mike Huckabee took his presidential campaign for a quick pheasant-hunting expedition in Iowa on Wednesday, and…At one point, Huckabee’s party turned toward a cluster of reporters and cameramen and, when they kicked up a pheasant, fired shotgun blasts over the group’s heads.
[...]
My colleague James Oliphant reports that Huckabee’s party was about 75 yards away from the press corps Wednesday when a pheasant jumped up and flew toward the reporters, drawing several shots. “That was too close,†he reports a cameraman saying.

Huckabee emerged happily from his hunt, three dead pheasants in tow, Oliphant reports. Asked for a metaphor to describe the hunt, he replied, “Don’t get in my way. This is what happens.”

Neoformix has developed a free online big/small text generator. You simply put in the text you want to be “big” and the text you want to be “small,” and voila! Below is an example using “FHK” for the “Big” text, and “Ft. Hard Knox” for the “small.”

Note: The only problem with this is that it is not possible to save the resulting image directly to a file. To transfer the image to your blog, e-mail, etc., you’ll need to capture a screen print, and paste it into your photo editing software.
To create your own big/small text graphic in seconds, click here.
