Update – Here’s the Coulter video as promised, via FoxNews:
(Click on the image below to go to this FoxNews Video…an ad will display first, so be patient.)

Ann Coulter went on Hannity and Colmes tonight and vowed to campaign for Hillary Clinton if the presidental race comes down to Clinton v. McCain. We’ll link to the video as it becomes available. Earlier today, I also posted a link to Malkin telling Glen Beck that she couldn’t say for sure she would vote for McCain over Hillary. I’ve since discovered much of the FHK Staff agrees with the pundits.
So, those conservatives who have decided they’re ready to campaign for Hillary should enjoy this commercial:

- Laura Ingraham: I’ll Vote for McCain

A plea from Tom Burnett Sr. to the wonderful people of Somerset (Flight 93 Memorial Blogburst)

(The ad copy below is running in tomorrow’s Somerset Daily American.)
My son Tom confronted a terrible moment of truth. Faced with a plot against our nation, he and the other heroes of Flight 93 fought back, and at the cost of their lives, foiled that plot to destroy the White House or the Capitol. Now it is time for the rest of us to face our moment of truth. Flight 93 has been re-hijacked, and I am requesting that if you can, you go down to the public meeting of the Memorial Project at Somerset Courthouse Saturday, sign up to comment at the end, and demand that a proper investigation be conducted. Pro-troop folks respond to Fred Phelps
January 31, 2008 by Victor Chabala
This was borrowed from a friend of mine, JMCleod:
If you haven’t heard, the WBC (Westboro Baptist Church) staged another “protest” last weekend, this one was in Jacksonville, NC, and targeted the Marines at Camp Lejeune.
Our son-in-law is stationed there – he’s currently deployed in support of OIF. We went down, with Nikki, and stayed with our daughter and grandbaby, Savannah (aka “Nachos”).
WBC had 5 protestors, and the road that they stood on ended up being barricaded by the city police so it didn’t get much traffic at all. About 40 folks stood on private property nearby, in opposition to the WBC (who was standing on American flags).
Two separate rallys were held to show support for the troops, the WBC was on-scene for less than an hour. Both pro-troop rallies lasted for 3 hours – we had 150-200 at ours, which was organized by the Gathering of Eagles, Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders, and the Leathernecks MC.
Even though they were forbidden to get involved due to a standing order by the Commandant of Camp Lejeune, many Marines drove by and showed their appreciation, a number of them walked down the sidewalk shaking our hands, and they even had coffee, donuts, and pizza delivered to us!
- Four 3×5′ American Flags and poles – $51.80
- Cost of gas to visit Camp Lejeune and return home – $101.91
- Value of standing with Joyce, Megan, Savannah, Nikki, and other Americans in the cold rain for three hours in support of the troops and outnumbering the Westboro Baptist Church 50 to 1 – PRICELESS!!!!

Mercury (Tasmania) quotes Arnold Schwarzenegger via their California correspondents:
He’s a crusader, has a great vision in protecting the environment and also protecting simultaneously the economy. He has incredible credentials in national security and of course, he is a fantastic, outstanding public servant. He is a great American hero and an extraordinary leader. This is why I am endorsing him to be our next president of the United States.”

On the Glenn Beck Show, yesterday:
GLENN: Michelle Malkin, I’ve got 30 seconds. If it’s John McCain, Hillary Clinton, do you pull the lever for John McCain?
MALKIN: Not at this moment I don’t. I’m running a poll right now on my site and you can see that there are a majority of my own readers who are going to sit home. And I think it’s a big warning to the conservative movement out there. We still have time to fix this. Read more

Those who have been reading FHK for a while know this is the video I run when I’m absolutely at my wits end. It cheers me up, and I hope it will you, too.
I’m sure most of you understand the significance of the “herding cats” analogy in conservative politics. If you don’t, just hide and watch over the next few days, the festivities leading up to the event that is, “Super Tuesday.”
F7: One day to Stop Hillary (or Obama)
January 31, 2008 by Jenn Sierra
Rightroots has set up a “One-Day” campaign to start rallying conservatives after the primaries and raise money for a Republican win in November. It begins two days after Super Tuesday:
February 7 is the day online activists like you can upend the dynamic of Election 2008. So far, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have dramatically outraised the Republican candidates. As of the last fundraising quarter, Clinton and Obama held an almost 3-to-1 advantage in campaign cash-on-hand over the most likely Republican nominees.
With that kind of staggering money advantage, there is a very real chance that starting in February, Clinton or Obama could bury our nominee in negative ads and prevent him from getting any traction whatsoever after a bruising primary.
It usually takes our nominee weeks to rebuild after a draining primary win. Two months of fundraising events must be scheduled. Mailers must be sent out. All on a shoestring budget.
We don’t have that kind of time.
If we don’t act, by March, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama could be the prohibitive favorites to become the 44th President of the United States.
If 2008 is like other years, the Republican nominee will receive a broad outpouring of support from across the country. But it usually takes months for this support to coalesce, with many giving in the frenetic final weeks before the end of the campaign.
Simply repeating this old pattern would leave our nominee vulnerable. The most valuable campaign contributions are those made early, not late. Our nominee must not go a single day against Clinton or Obama without the resources to defend themselves.
All of that can change on one day: February 7, 2008. Take the pledge. Then come back on February 7th to make history.

Press release from MoveAmericaForward.org, dated January 30, 2008:

SAN FRANCISCO – The City of Berkeley, California has passed two resolutions attacking the United States Marine Corps, calling the Marines, “uninvited and unwelcome intruders in the city.”
The Berkeley City Council voted to condemn the Marines on Tuesday night (January 29th) as part of a campaign by anti-war activists to shut down a U.S. Marine Recruiting Center located in the city of Berkeley.
The votes by the Berkeley City Council were immediately condemned by Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org), the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization.

Pitbull, Defense, and Messages

Am I the only guy who thought the CNN Ronald Reagan Debates involved a pitbull (John McCain), one guy on defense (Mitt Romney), and two others with marginalized messages (Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul)?
I’m tired of the same old negative politics. Watching John McCain play pitbull over technicalities with Mitt Romeny was disheartening. I hoped Mitt Romney would rise above the rancor with an inspiring answer but he chose to wallow in the mud with the pitbull. It became a childhood game of “he said…yeah…but he said it first” drivel. Too bad. I don’t recall what they said about leading the country…only that they fought.
As a result, I found myself turning my attention to the other candidates who were, to say the least, marginalized by CNN. I didn’t count the minutes but it was very apparent Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee got short changed in favor of mud slinging. Nonetheless, they made lemonade out of lemons. Both messages were on point, clear, and rose above the petty politics of McCain and Romney. I especially liked Mike Huckabee’s tribute to Ronald Reagan at the end and Ron Paul’s “negative role” of political power with respect to economics.
Hats off to Dr. Paul and Gov. Huckabee. To John McCain and Mitt Romeny — grow up!
