		<description>Dear Jenn:

I like this post and see...Communism is no longer a threat! China is and has always been, a vast monster ruled by the mere whim of a handful of evil freaks, whose PERMANENT idea of brinkmanship is mostly going over the brink.

The arrogance and philistinism of Chinese culture can often have no limits. Thus every Chinatown in the world, is a snake pit of unbelievably selfish corruption and the exploitation of their fellow Chinese. Just ask Bruce Lee. That&#039;s why he got into martial arts. No choice if you wanted to survive as an individual.

There&#039;s an interesting Chinese author by the name of Bo Yang, who has some harsh insights into the workings of the Chinese mind. Kind of disturbing, and considering I had a Chinese girlfriend at the time I was reading him, er, he was spot on. She was in it!

The daughter of a party cadre, she was a spoiled and profoundly ignorant person, but taken to a high level of morbid narcissist parody.

Wy was I with her? Ah, so long ago and I had a thing for Asian gals...but I got over it. The truly interesting, mysterious and exotic women are more likely to be Western or Westernised, actually.

Once you live in Asia as I did for a while, you meet some wonderful people, make great friendships and get a real connection. But for most folks, there always comes a time where you eventually find Asia is actually about as interesting as a plastic sandle.

This is usually at the 2 and half year mark. Happens every time for most.
