John McCain Needs To Come To Us

There’s much talk about how Conservatives now need to join the John McCain express now that Mitt Romeny has dropped out of the race.  That is wrong!  We do not need to join McCain…John McCain needs to join us. 

Conservatives have stayed true to their principles of less government, lower taxes, stopping illegal immigration, and the like.  John McCain has not stayed true to those principles.  We, as Conservatives, never moved — John McCain did.  As a result, he needs to show some leadership and convince us why we should vote for him.  Saying he is the nomination is not good enough.  That is not leadership…that is presumption.  Leadership is an influence relationship.  Currently, there is no relationship and no influence with Conservatives.  At best, there is animosity, mistrust, and disrespect.  That is not leadership worthy of my vote.

Consequently, until John McCain makes a concerted effort to reach me, I’m staying true to my Conservative principles.  I’m here waiting Senator McCain.  What will you do to influence and relate to me?  What will you do to get my vote?
