What happens to “free speech” when you voice an opinion in a private meeting contrary to to the politically-correct gay agenda? Apparently, gay activists nationwide feel you deserve to have your personal and work e-mails inundated with gay porn and gay activist propaganda, to have your office phone tied up with the same, and to have your reputation falsified and smeared all over the internet.

That’s what is happening to Oklahoma’s Sally Kern (R-Oklahoma City), after the Victory Fund, an LGBT activist website, released an audio tape of Ms. Kern addressing the Oklahoma legislature. Although the group states it did not release her name because, it did not don’t want to make her a hero in anti-gay circles, or make her the target of animosity and hostility, her name, work e-mail, personal e-mail, and work ph# were soon released all over the internet on sites like Digg.com and Crooks and Liars. Readers nationwide were encouraged to contact to contact her at work, at home, and even at her husband’s church to let her know what they thought about her views.

What did she say that provoked this outpouring of rage an anger? Here are some excerpts of the audio recording, transcribed by James Branum, of JMBzine.com.

Studies show, no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted for more than, you know, a few decades. . .

I honestly think it’s the biggest threat our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam. . .

They want to get them into the government schools so they can indoctrinate them . . . They are going after our young children, as young as two years of age, to try to teach them that the homosexual lifestyle is an acceptable lifestyle.

You know, Gays are infiltrating city councils. . . Did you know that the city council of Eureka Springs is now controlled by gays? . .
. They are winning elections.

We have the gay-straight alliance coming into our schools. . .

One of my colleagues said We don’t have a gay problem in our community… well you know what, that is so dumb. If you have cancer in your little toe, do you just say that I’m going to forget about it since the rest of you is fine? It spreads! This stuff is deadly and it is spreading. It will destroy our young people and it will destroy this nation.

Sally Kern defends her statements in this interview with News9.com in Oklahoma City. Kern stands by her comments, and says the constituents in her district were aware of her views on homosexuality and on the gay agenda in the public schools when she was elected, and that the majority of those she represents still support her.

Thank God for people like Sally Kern who speak up for what they believe, aren’t afraid to defend their opinions and offer no apologies.

I lived in Oklahoma for 4 1/2 years and will probably be moving back in the near future. Having a true conservative representative will be a nice change from the liberals I am surrounded by here at home in WA state!

This comment section is for the readers of Ft. Hard Knox, a place for political conservatives to share information about online activism. We are not "fair and balanced," and we aren't refereeing a "free speech zone." Intelligent, funny, and on-topic comments are welcome. Trolls, spam, and liberal propaganda are not. We may occassionally approve a comment with an obvious lefty-slant so that we can amuse ourselves by making fun of it, but most will be deleted. (Why? Because we're busy, we have lives, and when we want to talk to you we'll go visit you on Digg or the Daily KOS.)
