Congressman Ramstad comes out in opposition to the Flight 93 memorial

…from Alec:
Congressman Jim Ramstad (R-MN) gave a House speech this month, supporting Mr. Burnett’s opposition to the crescent design. The speech is entered in the Congressional Record here, along with supporting statements from Tom Burnett Sr. (father of murdered Flight 93 hero Tom Burnett Jr.).
That makes two Congressmen now who have come out publicly against the crescent memorial. (Tom Tancredo took the lead last November, asking the Park Service to choose a completely new design.)
News coverage revs up confrontation at this Saturday’s public meeting
Ramstad’s speech, and our ongoing petition drive, netted a full width banner headline on the front page of the Somerset Daily American, with the story continuing full width on an inside page as well. This high profile local news coverage should make for an interesting Memorial Project meeting at the Somerset County Courthouse this Saturday. Several critics will be speaking during the public comment period, and the first batch of petitions will be delivered in bulk (over 5000 signatures to date, 4700 online and 500 on paper).
Al Franken Implements Senator Harry Reid’s “Voluntary” Taxation Strategy
April 30, 2008 by Jenn Sierra
Last month, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) tried to convince Jan Helfeld that taxation is voluntary. Of course for high-powered Democrats like Harry Reid, details such as accurately disclosing one’s income and property apparently is optional.
So, Al Franken, who is trying to get one of those U.S. Democratic Senate jobs (Minnesota) where taxation is “voluntary,” yesterday announced that he has chosen to pay $70K in state income taxes to 17 states over the last five tax years. Why didn’t he voluntarily do this before? Well, it’s his accountant’s fault, of course.
In the true spirit of today’s Democratic Party, insiders are happy to report that a revelation of tax evasion by their candidate in 17 states has not significantly damaged his Senate campaign in Minnesota…they’ll continue to watch the polls to determine whether he’s fit to represent taxpayers in the United States Senate. A word of caution, however: Read more

CNN’S Master Plan: Part One

As you read this, I will be away from my desk. While I am gone, I will be posting a mini-retrospective of some of my previously published, copy-righted work. The articles seem to hold up. In some cases, I will introduce the piece. In most instances, I will let the piece speak for itself.
(This originally appeared as a blog on my own website. It was written before I started writing a blog for Pajamas Media. It also appeared in The Jewish Press.)
CNN’S Master Plan: Part One
Dhabah Almontaser, the nearly anointed principal of Brooklyn’s madrassa and CNN’s fully anointed Christiane Amanpour both agree that in Arabic, “Intifada” means a “shaking off.” Amanpour gave an example of how to use the word by saying that “Palestinian (terrorists) were (merely) shaking off the Israeli Occupation;” Almontaser, when challenged about the infamous tee-shirts, said that “Intifada-NYC” referred to young Muslim girls “shaking off oppression.”
In November of 2005, Fox’s O’Reilly showed live footage of the French Intifada as it raged in Paris. According to WorldNetDaily, Saudi billionaire Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, (aka Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud), who owns 5-6% of the Fox News Channel, personally called Rupert Murdoch and asked him to change the offensive (but accurate) caption: “Muslim Riots” to the less offensive (and less accurate) “Civil Riots.” Within thirty minutes, the Prince had his way.
To paraphrase New York Post columnist Cindy Adams: Only in America kids, only in America.
Our fine Saudi prince also owns shares in Times-Warner/AOL/CNN, which he first acquired in 2002. According to Forbes, the London Guardian, and other media outlets, in 2002 the Prince “claimed to own 1.4 billion in AOL stock…in 2003 he bought another 450 million of AOL stock.” God knows what he owns now. (Yes, he’s the very Prince whom Presidential hopeful Rudy Guiliani humiliated when he refused to accept his ten million dollar donation for humanitarian aid immediately following 9/11).
Has bin Talal’s ownership influenced Amanpour’s highly touted, highly slanted, and highly tedious three part series “God’s Warriors?” I have no inside information here but I doubt that any overt bribes were involved.
Amanpour dresses in safari-like bush jackets but they are never grungy, and are in fact glamorous in color and fit. She is no Oriana Fallaci, no Susan Sontag, but is probably the best CNN has to offer in terms of Talking Heads who presumably think. To those unfamiliar with Amanpour’s background, she lived in London (still does), attended schools in America, and her husband, James Rubin, is Jewish. He once worked for former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright–another Jew who did not know she was one…Continue Reading on Chesler Chronicles
McCain on the lookout for Manbearpig now

It looks like John McCain has drunk the Goracle’s cool-aide. He has fallen for the bamboozling Manbearpig myth. Raymond S. Kraft has an Open Letter to McCain to not fall for the Goracle’s false prophet, Manbearpig.

Global Warming? An Open Letter to John McCain
Raymond S. KraftDear Mr. McCain
It seems that some leading Republicans such as yourself, Newt Gingrich, and even President Bush, have accepted the premise of Anthropogenic Global Warming – that man is spewing millions of tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere each year, and that this is causing an unprecedented rise in earth’s temperature that threatens us all. And, if we spend enough money to reduce CO2 emissions, we can change it.
I urge you to reconsider. More than 19,000 scientists have signed the Global Warming Petition to protest the Kyoto accord, and declare their opposition to the theory that man’s CO2 emissions are causing Global Warming (the Global Warming Petition [here]). Written and sponsored by Dr. Frederick Seitz, past president of the National Academy of Sciences, the Petition reads:
Global Warming Petition
“We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan, in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

Wright is Wrong – Obama Still Obfuscates

The shucking jiving anti-American Jeremiah Wright Jr. demonstrated his ability to deflect questions at the National Press Club while protected by bodyguards provided by the Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam (a fact omitted by most of the MSM). Breitbart TV has an analysis of the Q&A at their website.
Wright is not the only person listed by Obama as a spiritual advisor. Rev. James Meeks is also closely linked to Obama.
It seems that Obama is linked to several strange bedfellows. World Net Daily reports that Obama’s money man Antoin “Tony” Rezko who is currently under indictment was recently bailed out of jail by Ali Baghdadi, a Middle East advisor to the Nation of Islam, a Palestinian activist and a contributor to Wright’s official “Pastor’s Page”.
The “Pastor’s Page” has an open letter to Oprah from Baghdadi. This bio of Baghdadi is at the bottom of the letter.
Ali Baghdadi, an Arab-American activist, writer, columnist; worked with several African-American groups on civil and human rights issues since the mid sixties; acted as a Middle East advisor to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad the founder of the Nation of Islam, as well as Minister Louis Farrakhan; visited more than 80 countries throughout the world and met with many of their leaders, including Mandela, Castro, Saddam Hussein, Hafez Assad, Qathafi, Abdallah ibn Abdel-Aziz, Rafsanjani, Ayatollah Khamenei, among many others.

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
- They travel miles in the heat.
- They risk their lives crossing a border.
- They don’t get paid enough wages.
- They do jobs that others won’t do or are afraid to do.
- They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
- They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.
I’m not talking about illegal immigrants; I’m talking about our troops! Doesn’t it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don’t support our troops and are now threatening to defund them?

Howard Dean Teams up with Michael Moore to Malign John McCain and U.S. Troops

Little Green Footballs reprinted this part of an e-mail sent to Howard Dean’s mailing list this weekend:
Dear Friend,
John McCain wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years. He’s said it, and it’s on tape.
But his campaign hates that he was caught. They’ve viciously attacked anyone who reminded the American people that he said it, including me. They’ve said that those who reference the 100 years comments are “deliberately misleading voters.”
So we’ve taken John McCain’s own words — video of him saying that 100 years would be “fine with me” — and made a TV ad. There’s no confusion, no distortion, no misleading — it’s John McCain, on tape, for voters to judge on their own.
It’s one of the most powerful political ads I’ve ever seen. It’s devastating Read more

Triumph of the Al.

Hey, what’s the fuhrer? Al Gore is almost life-like, eh? Though he does tend to get worked up at any er “diversity of opinion” that dares to question the totally phoney orthodox snake oil show of Global Warming or his ah, true history. Al makes much sound and fury signifying nothing. Nothing but millions and millions of dollars from many, many surprising sources.
Hey, have you seen the Albert, er, Adolf Hitler propaganda film by Leni Riefenstahl, called “An Inconve…’ er, ‘Triumph of the Will?’ It’s a major relative of Gore’s unwatchable boreyoumentary or any Mike ‘Goering’ Moore lie fest for that matter. Choose any Goebbels worthy Meisterverk by Der Fat One’, add a few easy laughs and Seig Heil!’
Man, ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ is not inconvenienced by almost a single truth, really. But to tell the truth, it certainly made me spend more time than usual in the convenience. How does such a boring doco starring Al Gore for Christ’s sake, inspire anyone, beyond realising they are being had from beginning to end? I’m going to go over both turgid ‘classics’ regards the Hitler Show and the Gore snore a little and will Fisk ‘A Convenient Money Spinner’ exclusively, in a following post. So you’ve been warned!
I had to watch ‘Triumph’ sped up. Almost two hours of monumentally tedious rallies, marches, Oktoberfest promos and Hitler speeches plus various sub-brutes trying to out spittle and out-screech der frickin’ Fuhrer, tested my limits of endurance. Next time, I’d prefer to sit through the entirety of World War II. I’d only just regained consciousness after watching Al’s er, how can I say this?

Debunking David Ray Griffin Continued
April 29, 2008 by Victor Chabala
Unless otherwise indicated, all information in this article comes from “On Debunking 911 Debunking” by Ryan Mackey.
On pages 30-32, Ryan Mackey provides us with David Ray Griffin’s comparison of the ‘88 First Interstate Bank fire in L.A. That fire lasted for 3 ½ hours and destroyed five floors, but the structural damage was negligible.
However, there are several differences which Griffin ignores- fortunately, Ryan Mackey provides the differences, and those differences were as follows:
- There was no loss of fireproofing, unlike the WTC
- There was considerably less ventilation, and therefore less oxygen for the First Interstate Bank fire, unlike the WTC, where the impact of the planes left gaping holes in the side and broke windows
- The LA Fire Dept was able to fight that fire as it started on a fairly low floor and the elevators were still functional, and
- The First Interstate Bank more than likely started at a single location and spread slowly rather than starting across multiple floors at once
