Senator Harry Reid - Taxation is Voluntary (uh…what?)

This is beyond stupid. Its such a perfect example of how Liberals won’t call a duck a DUCK. (Hat tip to my buddy, Mustard, for pointing me to the link)

Is Taxation Voluntary?

I don’t know which is funnier, Zap. The notion that we have a “voluntary” tax system (as in you can voluntarily pay your taxes or you can voluntarily go to jail), or the fact that you have a buddy named Mustard. ;-)

Did anyone read the comments on the web site linked? It’s hilarious! These libtards are actually trying to support Reid’s comments! By their reasoning, taxation actually IS voluntary because we can chose to not pay and go to jail. I pointed out that by that reasoning there is no such thing as compulsory, everything is voluntary.

There was no federal income in the U.S until Lincoln needed money for the civil war, then during world war II,they were raised to near current levels, then again in 1986 to todays.During emergencys the federal government can do this, politicians just never repealed the tax emergencies and spent so much on assistance programs that now we’d go bankraupt as a goverment without raising them.Of course in all reality they are out of control and will continue so.Mandatory meant the King sent armed men to your home to collect, politicians use cleaver language and describe them as voluntary in our country because its an honor system that you do yourself through forms and w-2’s.But king still lives its the IRS,a agency outside the government that collects almost the same way the king did except they wear nice suits and send threatning letters and mafia like high interest penalitys that will eventually ruin and destroy your life if you don’t pay, even the possibility of jail.Remember thats how Al Capone was taken down,he deserved it but after that worked out the government figured they could use that on the very public they serve.

Obama: America's Biggest Mistake Waiting to Be Made

An Interview With Kathleen Parker, Author Of "Save The Males"

John: Now, the average left-wing feminist response to your book is probably akin to, "Ah, men have the advantage in every way. Why would anyone need to 'save the males?'" What would you say to that? Kathleen: You're exactly right. I get a lot of that and what they point out generally is that men head most of the corporations and men dominate in the Congress. While that is statistically true, what I try to do in Save the Males is show where our current trends are leading...(Right Wing News)
