A charter school in Minneapolis, MN is Federally funded, held in a building owned by the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, run by an Imam, and mandates the learning of Arabic (the only true language of the Qu’ran). But that’s not the most shocking thing.

The Charter Academy the Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) is sponsored by a “charity” organization, the Islamic Relief, that predominately operates in third world nations, but that’s not as shocking as the fact the sponsoring organization donates money to and supports HAMAS, a listed and known Terrorist Organization. But even that is not the most shocking revelation.

The Minneapolis – St Paul Star tribune has two stories on this Charter school.

This school does not fly the US Flag as mandated by law during classes because the school administrator “doesn’t know how to operate the flag pole“. Okay, agreed that is shocking but still not the most shocking fact discovered.

If you went to the school’s website I hope you bothered to read the stilted English and poor grammar. This is a school allegedly teaching children core subjects by trained educators.

As an inspiration to our students, we have named our school after Tarek Ibn Ziyad, the Ummayad administrator of medieval Spain. Thirteen hundred years ago, serving in the multifaceted roles of activist, leader, explorer, teacher, administrator and peacemaker, he inspired his fellow citizens to the same striving for human greatness that we hope to instill in our students today.

From what I have read the man is not exactly a peacemaker. He was a mercenary who betrayed his employers. So they want to encourage students to conquer the non-believers and spread the word of Islam…hmmm.

The administration doesn’t keep religious affiliation but he does keep racial profiles, 249 African American students and 2 white. For those not familiar with the twin cities they are a true melting pot and have a large Somali population
