The Poison Pen and Propaganda

Why did Hitler persecute the Jews? World War II has been the subject of many books and it is taught in school, but do you remember being taught why the persecution occurred? Were you ever taught this fact?

Why do the Arabs hate the Jews? Is it because the United Nations voted to establish a Jewish homeland on Arab soil? Is it because Mohammad tells them to or have imams and mullahs perverted the words?

Adolph’s favorite book demonized the Jews and shaped his viewpoint. Muslim teachers around the world to explain their hatred of the Jews use this same book today. This book literally started WWII and it will start WWIII.

What are the origins of this book? Who wrote it? To be honest no one knows for sure, but there are some educated guesses. The original manuscript has never been located. The book has been translated, added to, expounded on, altered and republished several times since it first appeared in print. Most of the translations are from Russian to other languages, but large portions of the book can be found in an earlier known French publication.

The fact that the original manuscript had not been found leaves the origins murky and subject to question. It also allows the racial bigots to spew their venom and pronounce the book real instead of fiction. This book was recently referenced by HAMAS as proof of the “righteousness of the Palestinian attacks on Israel. This book is taught as fact in Middle Eastern Schools, although a majority of scholars denounce the book as a fabrication and a hoax. The fact that the book cannot be authenticated, in the opinion of anti-Semites, is proof that it is non-fiction.

What is this book that has and is inflaming anti-Semitic passions? It goes by many names. According to Wikipedia these are just a few:

The text is alternatively known in English as:

  • Protocols of the wise men of Zion
  • Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion
  • Protocols of the meetings of the learned elders of Zion
  • Protocols of the Meetings of the Zionist Men of Wisdom
  • The Illuminati Protocols
  • Protocols of the Sages of Zion
  • Protocols of Zion
  • The Jewish Peril
  • The Protocols and World Revolution
  • Praemonitus Praemunitus

Warning to those wanting to research these titles. Several of the websites have hidden dangers, spyware, Trojans and other malware. The ones I traced came back to various server locations in the Middle East, Turkey and Russia. You should have an up to date antivirus program, spy ware detector and proper settings for your browser and firewall before exploring internet sites that you are not familiar with.

The best article online that I found about the book is by Gordon Fisher and can be found here.

This book serves as a reminder that propaganda comes in all forms and that what is taught in school does influence people later in life. Are your children being taught to learn or indoctrinated?
