Wounded Soldier Ride

Have you even heard of the “Wounded Warrior Project”? The history of the Soldier’s Ride starts in 2004 and is on their website. One event this year was a three-day bicycle race from the “White House to the Lighthouse” at Annapolis Maryland via Walter Reed Army Hospital and Baltimore MD.

It is not just the event I want to bring to your attention but the despicable lack of news on the event by the liberal mainstream media. An event to publicize the heart, the triumph of wounded soldiers and their undefeatable spirits and MSM for the most part can’t even acknowledge it.

C-Span has a video of the President’s remarks and the start of the race. Open your video viewer and insert this code into the address [ rtsp://video.c-span.org/60days/wh042408_bush2.rm ] The video is long (27 minutes). It shows many courageous people not the least of which is our President. Perhaps that is the reason the MSM failed to report on this story. Liberals control for the most part the MSM and they are distinctly anti-American, not because of their opinion about the President but because of their controlled propaganda that treats their consumers with disdain and their blatant bias.

Is it any reason that the elitists of the press (and of academia) favor the elitist candidate for the donkey party? They believe that they are smarter than you are, ergo they should rule and control your access to information. They know what is good for you and it’s their way or the highway.

A prime example of this is the polls that give a very low ranking to President Bush, but if the MSM actually related facts and showed the public the true man perhaps the polls would be different. Only history will tell how President Bush is remembered, but here and now I am of the opinion that he has been who we needed during this turmoil. He was elected fairly. The war in Iraq is not and has not been “about oil” (at least not for George W. Bush).

The war is not over! And this country still needs a leader who will “hold the course”, who will stand up for democracy. We also need a MSM that tells “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.

As of noon Sunday, April 27, 2008 Google had only the following MSM news articles on this event.
