The Truth about Margaret Sanger
“I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.” (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)…(The Truth about Margaret Sanger)
2008 Isn’t 2004
I think political analysts are using their rear-view mirrors to look at the 2008 Presidential race…(The American Mind)
Think Progress Exposed
More than 2.5 million people read pages of Think Progress every month. Quite a staggering number, and something free-market minded Americans should pay close attention to.
While some in mainstream communication realms might not see this as a significant story, many more of us are starting to uncover the dark agenda that drives the left wing propaganda machine at Think Progress.
What are the Origins of Think Progress? Here is what we know…(Think Progress Exposed)
Wichita Public Schools: Open Records Requests Are a Burden
recently learned that USD 259 (the Wichita, Kansas public school district) considers it a burden when citizens make requests for records. At least that’s what Lynn Rogers, vice-president of the board of USD 259, told me at a May 12, 2008 meeting when I was invited to express concerns regarding my opposition to the proposed 2008 bond issue. I suspect the other board members and administration officials agree with him….(Wichita Liberty)
Zero Sum Games and Conservatives
…Democrats, believing that they have placed the Republican party to the left of center, with a Presidential Nominee that many acknowledge as a pure RINO, truly think that now it is time to elect their own in what they hope will be a decade of socialist spending, socialist governing and socialist mandates which by definition will reduce personal freedom in favor of the nanny state…(Reclaim Conservatism)
ACLU Fantasy Land vs. Reality…
ACLU: “The U.S. military is holding about 500 juveniles suspected of being “unlawful enemy combatants” in detention centers in Iraq…The ACLU and other civil liberties groups have denounced the practice as abhorrent. And they say it’s in violation of U.S. treaty obligations.
REALITY: “An increasing number of Iraqi detainees are refusing to leave detention centres despite being eligible for release because they want to complete studies begun behind bars, a US general said on Sunday…(Weasel Zippers)”
MoveRed.org
MoveRed is the youth coalition of the King County Republican party; a group of young adults who exist to promote conservative ideas and values; and support elected officials who do the same. You may not be into politics, but politics will definitely affect your life, with or without your participation…(D=S)
Iraqi, Coalition Troops Detain 29 in Raid
In an effort to clear out criminals in the area, Iraqi army soldiers raided several houses in the city of Jabella, Iraq, May 2. With support from coalition forces, the raid resulted in the detainment of 29 suspected insurgents. Soldiers with the 3rd Battalion, 31st Brigade, 8th IA Division, led the early morning raid, with help from Soldiers with Company B, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, currently attached to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division….(Rosemary’s Thoughts)
Obama get Cross in Kentucky
…There are plenty of examples of the moronic reaction to the so called cross. Google “Huckabee cross” and you will find quite a few items about it. Remember, it caused such a controversy that Huckabee had to defend it and tell people it was a bookcase. Now enter Barack Hussein Obama, the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party, and see what he is spreading around Kentucky…(Big Dog’s Weblog)
Hill-Billy Campaigning
Well, I’ve put it off for as long as I could. I haven’t wanted to have a lot to say about the upcoming WV election. I like to see how the multitude of sides spin things first, because there’s a lot to tell in who goes negative on the people of West Virginia first. Ding. Ding. Ding. We now have a winner…(Buzzardbilly: Appalachian Being)
Newsweek Editor Declares America #2
In the “a picture is worth a thousand words” category, Newsweek has apparently tried to take disrespect for America a few steps further than TIME magazine did a few weeks ago. In doing so, Newsweek uses a rear view of the Statue of Liberty as well as a “USA #2″ image to signify their view of America’s decline…(Creeping Sharia)
FDR, HST & JFK Negotiation Models - Obama Needs a History Lesson
In his victory speech after the North Carolina primary, Sen. Barack Obama said something that is all the more remarkable for how little it has been remarked upon. In defending his stated intent to meet with America’s enemies without preconditions, Sen. Obama said: “I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did….” (Invincible Armor)
New Study: Conservatives are Happier Because They Hate Everyone
There is a news report starting to make the rounds amongst the MSM on a study that claims to have discovered why conservatives tend to be happier than liberals and it is just the sort of bilge that the MSM loves to promulgate. We may see more of it over the next several days because, while it is titled “Conservatives Happier Than Liberals,” it is basically saying that the reason conservatives are happier is because they just don’t care about other people….(Publius’ Forum)
Why Would you ‘Kidnap’ a Pirate
This is the same idiocy as treating arrested Islamic terrorists as criminals, instead of putting them up against the wall. The evidence that jihadi’s, once released or ‘escaped’ from prison, return to the battlefield, is overwhelming. A dead enemy doesn’t return to kill your soldiers. The French should know that.
Main opposition group in Somali says ‘France lacks the legal mandate’ to charge the six pirates who have held Le Ponant and its crew hostage….(Sheik Yer Mami)
Sign the Petition for Yemeni journalist Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani
While the USS Cole bombers are all free in Yemen, my friend the Yemeni journalist Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani will be sentenced May 21 in a bogus trial and likely will get the death penalty or a long prison term. He is charged with insulting the president and demoralizing the military with an article about the Sa’ada war. He is an internationally renowned journalist and one of Yemen’s most prominent and outspoken democracy advocates…(Armies of Liberation)
MAF confirms that FBI is looking into recruiting center vandalism
Move America Forward has received a response through our lawyers that the Department of Justice is taking on the case of defending military recruiters from attacks by far-left anti-war groups, anarchist groups and socialist organizations that have undertaken to hurl rocks, smash windows, splatter paint, deface, graffiti, plant bombs, slash tires, harass, and otherwise make life hell for recruiters…(Move America Forward)
Happy Anniversary, Israel
In 1948, in a rare display of Arab unity, all of the surrounding hate-filled Arab states came together to wage a war of total annihilation against the tiny fledgling State of Israel. They mustered their huge supremely confident armies and, assured of a magnificent success, they savagely attacked the insignificant and ill-prepared Israeli forces. And they lost….(Radarsite)
Sen. Brownback: China will spy on you at the Olympics
China will Monitor your internet acitivity while at Olympics…China is pressuring hotels to put in internet filtering devices in hotels that will provide lodging to those attending the 2008 Summer Olympics. These devices can also be used to monitor activity. Senator Brownback, former presidential candidate, who was interviewed by politisite in November cites confidential sources…(Politisite)
The Democratic Primary: Time for Buyer’s Remorse?
From the Democrat perspective, the 2008 Presidential Election seemed strong proof for the theories of Leibniz — early on the 2008 political climate really did seem the “best of all possible worlds.” The Republican brand was shot, the war was unpopular, the economy was tanking, and George Bush was an enormous millstone for Republicans. Moreover, as one commentator observed, the only disagreement among Dems was which primary candidate was super-great and which one merely great…(The Conservative Intelligencer)
