He’s Baa-aack! Ron Paul rEVOLution March on Washington D.C., July 12th

Just when you thought all hope was lost (or that it was finally over, depending on your perspective)…no, wait…is that? could it be? Why, yes, it’s Ron Paul! He and thousands of his supporters are scheduled to March on D.C. on July 12th.

Right now, 14,000 people are signed up to attend, but the group is ultimately hoping for “hundreds of thousands” of people.

Details are here, and money for security and other march expenses is being collected here.

Here are some tips:

What to bring.

You want to be prepared to be on your feet for hours at a time. You might be far from water or bathrooms. So you want to bring:

  • A daypack or something to keep things in.
  • Water. Lots of drinking water.
  • Sunblock.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sun hat.
  • Cell phone (charge those batteries!).
  • Camcorder.
  • Comfortable footwear.
  • Umbrella or poncho if it looks like rain.
  • Snacks or snacks and lunch. Restaurants are some distance from where we’ll be.

What not to bring.

The many security agencies in DC take their jobs very seriously. We don’t want any weapons or anything that might be used as a weapon. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Firearms.
  • Knives worn ourside your clothing.
  • Sign-posts made out of wood or metal (use cardboard tubes instead).
  • Glass or metal containers. Plastic bottles only.
  • Beach umbrellas or shade tents (parasols are OK).
  • Alcohol.
  • We’ll have some handy maps for you to download and print out as the date approaches. These will show you our locations and march route as well as nearby transportation options.

Umm…I think they missed a couple items in the “don’t” category, but we’ll let the D.C. cops sort that out.

No word, yet, on where “hundreds of thousands” of people will be going to the bathroom.

Don’t forget to check out the link for “how to exploit the media on the logistics page.
