As promised, here’s the podcast for last nights show…below are some of the links shared in the chat room. If anyone has more links, please feel free to post them in the comments, and we’ll be glad to add them.
The first half of the show is a discussion about conservatism online and the last part of the show is a discussion with Jeff Blanco of the Louisiana Conservative about socialism in his backyard, and his thoughts on the idea of Bobby Jindahl as a potential V.P. running mate for John McCain.

Thanks, to the 28 people who took time to complete the WebWarriors of FHK Workshop Survey, and give feedback. Following is a summary of the results - click on the thumbnails to view the detailed results of each question.
Question 1: How did you become politically active online?
Our respondents became active online in a variety of ways, including building websites and blogging, using e-mail, being involved in discussion forums or social networks, and even iRadio and iVideo. A few have been around so long they think they might have helped invent the internet (one respondent wanted to clarify that he or she is NOT a former Vice President!).

Question 2: What are some of the challenges you remember facing (check all that apply).
The biggest challenge for our respondents on this survey was understanding/using code (html, css, xtml, etc.), with understanding social networks and Web 2.0 close behind. Other major challenges were tarting and running a blog/radio show/discussion forum/video channel, and concerns about security (Firewalls, Antivirus software, spam filters, etc.)

Question 3: What is one thing you have learned about the internet, computers, or Web 2.0 that you wish you had known in the beginning? (i.e., What one piece of advice would you give to a new internet user?)
We had 22 excellent responses to this question. Recurring themes included doing your homework before setting up a blog, learning to network effectively, staying safe online, and using proper internet etiquette.

Question 4: Think about the people in your family or political circles that are not active online. What do you think is keeping them from getting online, and/or what do you think would make it easier to become more active online?
We also had 22 very helpful suggestions submitted in response to this question. Topics that were mentioned repeatedly included overcoming fear, finding time to spend online, understanding the importance/relevance of the internet to our political process, and learning “how-to” become active online one step at a time to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

We are in the process of scheduling an iRadio show to talk more about why it is important for political conservatives to be active online, and some ways we might be able to make that happen. Watch here for more details.

Too funny, Buffoon! We updated the post.
Geez, you hate us east coast guys!
For $50 I’d make Chad cry. We’d be $50 closer to buying the Revolution theme! LOL
I think Chad would give us $50 looooong before he started crying, but heh, what do I know? ROFL!
