And The Loser is… Part II

In Part 1 we compared the candidates (Obama and McCain) positions on the Iraq War.
Today we explore their positions on domestic issues. I realize that this category is a bit subjective depending on where you live and your own personal economic status, so I will attempt to break into smaller points of interest.
Here are the candidate’s major economic platform points:
Immediate Help for American Families:
Helping Americans Confront Higher Living Costs; Helping Americans With The Housing Crisis
Pro-Growth, Pro-Jobs Tax Agenda:
Cutting Taxes For The Middle Class: Pro-Growth Tax Policy; Tax Cuts On American Employers; Pro-Innovation Tax Cuts; Retirement Tax Cut; A Real Choice For Simpler Taxes
Reforming Washington to Regain the Trust of Taxpayers:
Eliminating Wasteful Spending; Budgetary Reform To Give Tax Cuts A Fair Chance; Reforming Entitlement Programs For The 21st Century
Promoting Trade and Global Competitiveness:
Lower Barriers to Trade; Make American Workers More Competitive (Education)
Bolstering Job Security and Assisting Displaced Workers:
Reforming Unemployment Insurance System;
Obama:
Protect Homeownership and Crack Down on Mortgage Fraud
Technology, Innovation and Creating Jobs
Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief
Trade
Labor
Address Predatory Credit Card Practices
Reform Bankruptcy Laws
Work/Family Balance
They seem similar don’t they? That’s because they are. When you just read the proposals they seem to be good for America but dig a little deeper. Both platforms are more steps to a centralized Government. Both plans remove additional State’s Rights, but overall McCain’s proposals are better than Obama’s.
Keep in mind these ten planks anytime you read a politician’s promises.
Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
Abolition of all right of inheritance.
Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
If you don’t recognize the above planks, they are the 10 central planks of the Communist Manifesto!

This comment section is for the readers of Ft. Hard Knox, a place for political conservatives to share information about online activism. We are not "fair and balanced," and we aren't refereeing a "free speech zone." Intelligent, funny, and on-topic comments are welcome. Trolls, spam, and liberal propaganda are not. We may occassionally approve a comment with an obvious lefty-slant so that we can amuse ourselves by making fun of it, but most will be deleted. (Why? Because we're busy, we have lives, and when we want to talk to you we'll go visit you on Digg or the Daily KOS.)
