Where Will We Be In Five Years?
Global Warming alarmists are getting their way in Britain, with taxes on fuel and heating bills rising faster than people can possibly make up for it, and the fallout is crashing down on Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s pointy little head. If Barack Hussein Obama wins the White House in November we’ll be in the same place in five years Britain is today, at least energy tax wise…(Kenders’ Musings)
A letter to Obama from a Bitter small town Bible clinger
Dear Barack: You’re wrong about small towns…(Stix Blog)
Jailed for Blogging
Bloggers are being arrested more and more as the importance of the Internet is realized by governments across the world, at least so warns the BBC…(WTH, Publius Forum)
The Failure of American Imperialism (And Promise to Do Better)
So we have a world that seems to have a very bad view of us here in the states, seeming to believe we are a country of fat, racist imperialists sitting on our asses all day watching illegal aliens do all of our work while we spend our time munching fast food in our aircraft carrier sized SUV’s figuring out how to get even more money and keep the minorities oppressed and beholden to us.
Well they couldn’t be more wrong.
First off my SUV is only the size of a frigate…(Kenders’ Musings)
Study: More People are Turning to the Web for Political Info
A new study from the Pew Internet and American Life Project reveals that 46% of Americans have used the Internet, email, or text messaging to get or share election information this year. 35% have watched online political videos — triple the number that watched video online in 2004, while 39%, according to the study, have turned to the web for “unfiltered” campaign information, such as raw video or transcripts of speeches and debates. But Americans aren’t convinced that all this social media business is a good thing for politics…(ReadWriteWeb)
Starving Janitors Threaten to Strike in Sacramento
This is a Tale that will shock you…OK, it probably won’t shock you, unless you are some softhearted cretin that feels sorry for those “starving” janitors. I don’t feel bad for them, because frankly not a one of them looked like they were starving. Maybe I should back up and tell you what happened, eh? (Kenders’ Musings)
Iran Declares Victory for Nuclear Program
…Those of us have seen the potential danger of a nuclear Iran to Israel and America have been called “neocon warmongers” and worse. However according to the recent words of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the “true” worst may be finally knocking at our door…Apparently Ahmadinejad is looking forward to a new American president. I wonder which candidate is giving him so much “hope” for “change?” I’m completely puzzled. (Borie, On the wRite Side)
Judging Pervasive Pornography
“…Judge Kozinski is an extremely well-respected jurist of the 9th Circuit Court and prolific legal mind. We believe that he can probably separate his own weird interests from the public interests at hand. That being said, no one can deny that there is a real irony and even a conflict of interests when it comes to defining obscenity under these circumstances…” (Family Fragments Hat-Tip to Justin Hart via Facebook)
SFChron: Obama is a ‘Rare Kind of Attuned Being,’ a ‘Lightworker’
Well, I have come to the conclusion that Mark Morford of the San Francisco Chronicle just threw away the last tiny shred of credibility he might have had left by dreamily imagining that Barack Obama is so omniscient, so “ethereal” and so messiah-like that he isn’t a “normal” human being. Maybe Mark thinks he might be an alien from another planet, some trans-dimensional traveler, or maybe an angel come down in human form to lead us sheep into the promised land? I’m not exaggerating either. In his latest piece he calls Obama a “Rare Kind of Attuned Being,” a “Lightworker,” he says he is “ethereal” and “magical” — hello Rush Limbaugh — and feels that Obama is “not really one of us” in the “normal way.” Morford and those who feel like him have lost all touch with reality and the sickness is spreading…(Publius Forum)
Barack Obama sought the New Party’s endorsement knowing it was a radical left organization
Last week we documented Obama’s 1996 endorsement by the New Party: which raises the question: what is the New Party? It’s easy to allege that this group is closely tied to former communists, but digging in to the New Party and Obama’s involvement, a very dirty picture presents itself. In fact, it is abundantly apparent that Barack Obama not only knew what the New Party was when he sought its endorsement, but through his ties with ACORN, the radical left activist organization, Obama used his radical left connections to get elected to the Illinois State Senate…(Erick Erickson, RedState)
Serving our Country Through Social Media
We are at war. Yet, today, through the advances in technology we can do instantly what in previous wars took weeks, even months to achieve – with the click of a mouse, we have the ability to send immediate support to a military service member…(Honor, Courage, eMail)
Newspapers are still profitable online.
This is interesting to me because a lot of folks I’ve worked with in the past have tried to convince me that newspapers were doomed both online and off. I’ve never bought in to this, however, and I’ve always believed that newspapers would eventually evolve in to profitable web properties…(Eric Odom, Freshy SEO)
