>Impeachment proceedings (even as unlikely as it is to proceed further) certainly seems like significant news. Is the global news media that controlled?<

Thanks for posting this information. It has been hard to find. In my Google search the only significant news network that covered this story of introduction of articles of impeachment in the US congress is Aljazeera. I am stunned. Impeachment proceedings (even as unlikely as it is to proceed further) certainly seems like significant news. Is the global news media that controlled?

Kucinich is absolutely correct. Bush and his corrupt administration have nearly destroyed this great nation. Your second paragraph begins, "From what I have read it appears that over half of Congress is also guilty". I agree; when are Bush's Republican puppets, who have blindly supported him in lock-step fashion, going to resign so the United States can reclaim its moral compass?

Thank you for the full post and link.

You call him crazy.

Frankly I have to agree with you. What he did takes guts. It's hazardous to the democratic party to bring such proceedings up. They're already ahead in public opinion and by bringing such an item up it allows republicans to vote for it and disassociate themselves from the president and thus spare some republicans of further purging by angry voters.

Politically it's unwise and yet he's crazy enough to do it anyways.

This isn't a democrat or republican issue here. George W. Bush has lied to the people of the United States of America. Clinton was impeached when he lied about an affair.

The lie is deep because MANY people are responsible for supporting it.

Bush has tweaked the wording of the constitution to mean what he wants it to me. Regardless of which political affiliation you're aligned with, the ignoring of the constitution of America and the violation of those rights contained within it should be of grave concern to us all.

I am not eloquent with my words but I am passionate. If this man were a Democrat, republicans would leap all over it, see the Clinton scandal, and yet our leaders in government are silent on this issue.

The Media hasn't even covered this.

Included in Kucinich's speech was that the US government, as ordered by this administration has been funding terrorist groups to infiltrate and attack Iran in the year 2008. They have also contemplated and planned for assassination of Iranian leaders.

We once funded Al Qaeda too.

If nothing else, I would consider that item in Kucinich's speech to be a violation of the trust of the American people. A violation of condemning terrorism everywhere.

Kucinich stood up for something. It's a scrap of paper that means something to him and he is the only man at that level of government that has been willing to follow his oath in the protection of that scrap of paper and the ideals behind it. It is potentially politically suicidal for him, and it is damaging to the democratic party as well.

That man is definitely crazy, but it's a crazy this country needs right now. He may be a nutter on other issues, but he has this one exactly right.

Thank you for posting the Articles, which include the evidence Kucinich presented and the text from the U. S. Constitution that supports the Articles.

It's shocking to me that people who call themselves conservatives are unwilling to defend the U. S. Constitution and their constitutional rights. Without the defense of patriots, the Constitution is just a worthless piece of paper.

Frankly, there have been too few of our leaders willing to defend it and too many of our citizens willing to sacrifice their liberty for a false sense of security. I don't fear terrorists enough to surrender my freedom.

Shame on those who have failed to do their sworn duty to protect our Constitution. Shame on those who failed in their oversight duties and shame on the American people for failing to appreciate and defend our democracy against such an abuse of power.
