David Lindorff at The Smirking Chimp is Stupid

Just wanted to throw that in the title right up front.  The idiot writes a laughable article trying to compare child rape victims to grenade throwing teenage Taliban.  The title?  "America has a Double Standard When It Comes to Kids. Victims if Prostitutes, Terrorists if They Are Caught Fighting the US".

Then there’s the FBI’s latest sweeping busts of child prostitution rings, which rescued 21 juveniles from sex-selling rings. In announcing the arrests of some 300 people, FBI Director Robert Mueller said, "Our top priority in these cases has always been to identify children victims and move swiftly to remove them from these dangerous environments."

"These kids are victims," said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. "They lack the ability to walk away. This is the 21st-century slavery."

The question is, where are Mueller and Allen and these allegedly concerned politicians when it comes to children who are forced or lured into fighting against the US, whether in Afghanistan or Iraq? Where are they when those children are captured by US military forces and incarcerated with adult captives in hell-holes like Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, or Guantanamo, where there was a special children’s section called Camp Iguana? I certainly haven’t heard a word from either Obama or that famous POW McCain in defense of America’s child war prisoners.

Let me and Webster’s try to help you out stupid (Lindorff).

Victim:  one that is acted on and usually adversely affected by a force or agent (1): one that is injured, destroyed, or sacrificed under any of various conditions (2): one that is subjected to oppression, hardship, or mistreatment.

Terrorist:   the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.  Violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands.

You don’t see the difference David?  Or are you so blinded by your desire to pin something on Bush/Cheney that you are willing to try to equate the rape or prostitution of a child with a teenage young man throwing a grenade at US troops and actively participating in the terrorizing of a populace with a pre-historic religious dogma?

To set the record straight on your defense of those animals in Afghanistan, it is part of their culture to wed and impregnate young child brides and have you ever heard of the practice of tribal warlords keeping a "loverboy"?  Its  a status symbol to have a young attractive boy carry your sidearm and get anally sodomized between his masters opium hits after a hard day of terrorizing his neighbors.  But hey, if that works for them, so be it.

But David, please, get your head out of your ass and stop using the sexual victimization of children in America to fight your war against Bush/Cheney.
