Non-Partisan My @#$

Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, a proud Chicano alumnus of the MEChA indoctrination organization stood up recently at a meeting of his “nonpartisan” cohorts and announced that “12 million illegal immigrants can be brought out of the shadows and into the light” by electing Barack Obama. He encouraged members of NCLR to campaign hard for the presumptive nominee. Just one minor problem…

NCLR, the National Council of La Raza is listed as a non-profit organization and as such is prohibited from endorsing candidates since they receive Federal Funding. What? You were not aware that NCLR, the racists get Federal Funding? Yep, you and me, the Government are paying for these separatists and racists to spread their poison. Even though McCain’s record on immigration is better for the illegal aliens, these socialists want Obama. (McCain’s views are also wrong in my opinion. No Amnesty, No Way)

Do you think for one minute the DOJ or the IRS will make a move against La Raza? I doubt it. At least not without pressure from voters!

UPDATE: The Kansas City Star is reporting that their local chapter of NCLR is also endorsing a candidate

I don’t think for one second that any action will be taken against the NCLR. I love our form of government, but the people running it don’t have the guts to confront openly terrorist organizations in our country!

  2. Debbie Kyzer says:

..So why should they confront NCLR?

  3. forthardknox Jenn Sierra says:

Hi, Debbie! Welcome to FHK. This is sooo not my area of expertise, but if I’m understanding correctly, by campaigning for a particular political candidate, NCLR does not have a right to receive Federal funding, or continue to receive the tax benefits/protections of a registered non-profit.

    Miss Debbie
I refer you to the I.R.S. Revised Code 501(c)(3)
“Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.”
In addition to their tax exempt status as a charity organized und 501(c)(3) La Raza also receives several millions of dollars each year fro the Federal Government which they could legally be required to reimburse upon losing their status as a “non-partisan” charity.
