Technically she was a single mother, but not on welfare, not living in the projects. BHO had a privileged upbringing for a black kid.

Obama’s biography is on purpose vague and distorted. He and David Axelrod have polished it to appeal to middle America. Obama is out of touch with Americans because he thinks he “suffered”. He grew up about as deprived as Ted Kennedy. He and his wife have struggled about as much as Nancy Pelosi. When Michelle compares her “suffering” to that of a service wife with a deployed husband that is disingenuous. When she says Barack understands a normal American’s dreams she is lying or deluded by the “One”. When she intimates that the Civil Rights Movement and the Women’s Rights Movements were a result of the Democratic Party, she is lying outright and trying once again to rewrite history. If you choose to believe her lies then may God have mercy on you because the Marxist Rulers who would be in charge if Obama gets his dream, will not!

A few corrections. His name was Barack Hussein Obama until Barack Hussein Obama II was born. Only then did he become Barack Hussein Obama, Sr.

Barack Hussein Obama was validly married to another woman when he and Stanley Ann Dunham were married. The other woman, Kezia Obama, was then living in Kenya. The Obamas were never divorced. Kezia Obama currently lives in Bracknell, UK.

Under American law, a bigamous marriage is void. Thus, the marriage of Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Dunham was automatically void. They were never married. Thus, for the short time that Barack Hussein Obama II lived with his biological father, it is correct that he was raised by a single mother. It would also be technically correct to say he was being raised by his single mother and his married father.

The divorce of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham was invalid, since their marriage was void.

It’s not like anybody’s making a big deal out of that, anybody besides you, that is. But I guess you so-called conservatives have to scrape the barrel these days to try to find anything worse than your own leadership.

As for Jean Sierra’s remarks, China has no problem feeding its people http://time.blogs.com/global_health/2006/08/no_longer_starv.html. China’s one child policy is irrelevant to the issue at hand, but suffice to say that it isn’t illegal to have more than one child, it’s just costly sometimes because of fines, but it isn’t uniformly enforced throughout China.

I think Barack and Michelle spent entirely too much time mesmerized by the Olympic coverage while they were on their Hawaian vacation. Devil's Advocate noted yesterday that Obama had come to the conclusion that the Chinese infrastructure was, in his opinion, better than the United States', even though they have not yet managed to figure out how to feed their population (never mind the fact that in China, one of the Obamas' daughters would be illegal). Now, it seems Barack has become enamored with all of the glowing coverage of Michael Phelps and his mother, who really was a single parent.
