I have a real problem with calling it &quot;fundamentalism,&quot; because anyone who really believes and follows any philosophy is a &quot;fundamentalist&quot; of that philosophy, whether it be Christianity, homeopathic medicine, wildlife conservation, pastafarianism, or whatever.   That doesn&#039;t necessarily make that person dangerous (weird, in some cases, but possibly harmless).

If that philosophy happens to be &quot;Islamic Jihad,&quot; though, then we have a problem.  The problem is Islamic Jihad, not the &quot;fundamentalism.&quot;</description>
