But with two wars in progress, Russia flexing its muscles, questionable economic conditions and a steady flow of hurricanes pounding our shores, it seems awful lame to spend campaign money on an ad complaining about one sentence from a speech that may or may not have been misinterpreted. And there is plenty of that lipstick for BOTH candidates (and their running mates). I think the voters deserve a focus on the issues instead of some childish game of tattletale and tit-for-tat. Your right, McCains numbers continue to improve at the moment. The fact is, McCain support continues to climb and Obama continues to falter. That flies in the face of your analysis. Whether the slam comes directly from the Obama campaign or from Obama's surrogates, they consistently pump up the McCain/Palin brand. Eventually Obama will figure that out. Worse yet, the Dems smell blood in the water and will no doubt hammer McCain for being a crybaby. It just seems that McCain went out of his way to show a weak underbelly instead of capitalizing on his military strength. Does he secretly want to loose this election? Worse yet, it appears that there are a lot of people praising McCain for keeping Obama off message, yet nobody seems to be discussing any type of message McCain has to offer other than "He called her a pig, waaaaa!!!
