Check out the view from a Peoples Republic of Obie desk, Creep Factor of about 20:

(Scrambling for thesaurus, looking for new ways to say “Yikes!”)

It took awhile but Barack Obama’s troops have decided to participate in the election process. The faithful no longer believe that the outcome in November is decreed in their favor by God, Darwin or Obama himself (honestly, I can’t tell that these people believe in anything other than Coffee Bean and Whole Foods).

There are a couple of quotes from this rally I thought I’d highlight as they seem to describe the average Obamabot pretty well.

On Sarah Palin:

“You want to know the honest truth? I think she’s like a bad actor from a B-list sex movie,”

That from a female Obama supporter. At least we know what his gals like to do with their free time. Funny, I would have thought the arugula chicks would go more for A-list porn. Learn something every day.

On the American Voter:

“I just do not trust the American people. I cannot believe that 80 per cent of this country thinks we’re headed in the wrong direction yet 50 per cent are supporting McCain and Palin. I guess it’s like at school, there’s always got to be a bottom 50 per cent.”

Classic Obamabot. She cannot imagine that many of those who think the country is off the rails might believe that liberal progressive policies are to blame as well. They live in a non-critical, Bush blaming universe. The “bottom 50 per cent” thing is my favorite. This quote is from a woman in her late fifties so we can’t blame her delusion on youth. You would think that after losing to Republicans for the better part of 40 years they’d want to stop calling us stupid.

Perhaps this explains why the Democrats have become so unhinged. After all, it’s got to be difficult to be continually outsmarted by people you believe to be intellectually inferior. A steady diet of that could lead to a pathologically unbalanced approach to politics. It could end up being so insane that it might put someone like Howard Dean in charge of things. Gosh, it’s easy to make a point with that whack job, isn’t it?

As always , when faced with another spanking by the dumb kids, Dems at this rally began the “I’m moving to Canada,” talk.

My promise to them is this: I’ll keep late January/early February open and will help as many of them as possible get the hell out of here.
