Kind of dumb idea - how many power plants do you think we need?

Apparently you didn't read the entire article or you would know that our current power grid is overtaxed and in dire need of assistance . . .

". Heavy demand on the overtaxed utility grid has resulted in periodic blackouts in some major cities during summer months. Since utility costs comprise part of a building’s maintenance budget, maintenance costs for residential buildings also have been affected."

The rest is self explanatory if you take the time to read it. :oP

Kind of dumb idea - how many power plants do you think we need?
There are millions of houses out there with people not paying their mortgage.

And once you plop a power plant in some place who would want to live in the area? Which would cause all the property in the area to drop in value.
Plus it takes 10-15 years to build a nuke plant - and it has to be next to running water.

Here is a solution - let them all go bankrupt and put the property up for sale on auction. I would gladly buy a few houses for 10 cents on the dollar.

Dear lady, I thought I had made abundantly clear that we cannot trust our current Congress to correctly accomplish anything. Not a single thing!

Allow me to point you to this Michelle Malkin piece as it does a better job of lambasting the Fail-out bill than I, and also show you where you can see what Congress thought in 2004 of our current crisis.

Never forgetthis: When Congress was given the assignment of building a mouse they sent the plans to committee, waited for several months for thfeasibility study to get reported on, then hired the lowest bidding contractor, paid the 3X over cost & fees, then finally was delivered 5 years late...

An elephant. :oP

Hmm...fixing the mortgage crisis and the energy crisis in one fell swoop. Interesting idea, Danno. I would just want to be sure that when the government profits on its investment, that money actually comes back to the taxpayers (and is not earmarked for not HUD, ACORN, and the NCLR).
