Meeting the Candidates

Last night I took my beloved Z to rub elbows with our local political personel at a fund raiser for Sharon Tyler, the next House Representative for the 78th District which is next door to mine. I met Sharon at a parade held in Niles a while back, and back then I knew she would be a positive force to be reckoned with.
She had a debate Thursday night. I missed that, darn it, but as is par for the course she won a definitive victory on the issues while the liberal candidate won on style. Supposedly.
On the net I’ve repeatedly read where we get criticized for questioning the patriotism of the far left democrats, and I agree. IMHO, there is nothing to question as they have ZERO tolerance for patriotism, and the South Bend Tribune agrees as they sub-headline their article about the debate with:
I guess democrat Truesdale was for abatements before she was against it. Typical liberal.
Saturday we held another fundraiser at our Cass County GOP HQ. We had all-you-can-eat chilli and hot dogs for 5 bucks per person, and guess who got to stand outside in the rain cooking the dogs? I didn’t mind as that gave me something constructive to do, and the great folks attending all complimented me on my efforts.
I also was treated to my father-in-law, an ex-navy man who saw battle in WWII, telling folks there that we absolutely had to win this election, or lose America to the extremist socialist agenda the democrats are pushing. His comments got a lot of people to applaude, and ready to go out to vote. That was Just Too nice! I’m very glad I didn’t leave him at home.
BTW, I ate too much again.
