Funny you should mention Firefox.
Its what I use and recently I was forced to use a machine that only had Explorer… no viruses but Explorer had everything centered on my blog but looked fine in Firefox….
never ends huh?

Is it possible to get the virus by leaving the Internet Explorer status set to online and Using Firefox for browsing

Thanks for the quesstion, Everette. From what I’ve read, it would depend on whether or not the site you left you IE on was under attack.
Although I’ve not yet read any report of Microsoft releasing a patch for the virus, there are reports that AVG 8 may provide protection from it: http://www.istockanalyst.com/mobile/viewarticle/articleid/2887715
I’m a new fan of AVG, but I’d still recommend using Firefox or some other browser like Google Chrome (which has also received good ratings) whenever possible.
