I think we are seeing one tail wagging a lot of dogs. From the morphing of the civil rights movement in the 60's, to feminism, to gay rights to environmentalism...we are seeing the Alinski method.

Every one of these movements has been hi-jacked by Alinski-ites and destroyed. The civil rights movement of the 50's, early feminists, early environmentalists were all part of legitimate movements with truly noble causes. Then, they were hi-jacked by Alinski style activists who are happy to use any movement to further their one and only objective: Creating a population so hopeless about the future that they will "chance change". And the purpose of that plea for change is nothing less than power, achieved by the threat of violence. Sort of terrorism lite.

Every one of these movements has allowed itself to be corrupted and destroyed, becoming so alienated and disaffected from society that they are completely destructive and beneath contempt.

Please, read Rules for Radicals and you will see the exact same themes playing out over and over like a record, and not even a good one. Alinski's objective was chronic disaffection and revolution, much like the idyllic 3rd world countries that would have beheaded him and dragged him through the streets had he objected to their governments.

We already have, or had, the society that other parts of the world were and are trying to achieve by revolting against dictators. The same protests that we respect because we think we are dealing with sincere people have nothing whatsoever to do with anything constructive, but just one effort after another to disaffect people from society and one another. They are injecting revolt into a sound, decent and honest nation to achieve power and control of the nation...and all of these groups are too stupid to see they are being played by users and poseurs who have nothing at all to contribute...and in the tradition of the truly shallow, the media and Hollywood are their lapdogs.

Best regards,
Gail S

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking forward to the remake. But I had heard rumors about it's eviromentalist slant. That's money I won't be spending.
