No atheists in foxholes on crashed planes in the Hudson River…?

Michelle Malkin is reporting that there was a miracle today on the Hudson River. A plane hit a flock of geese and crashed – everyone (except the geese) survived. Malkin:

Passenger Jeff Kolodjay spoke with media. They smelled gas before crash. Explosion took place. Pilot told them to brace. A mom and baby were among survivors. “Everyone prayed.”

Thank God. We need to keep praying. That water is very, very cold.

I guess secularism just doesn’t cut it when your plane is descending into the Hudson River.

I thank God for His amazing grace and awesome power. He has made this very apparent today, as he guided the hands and mind of Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III, US Airways pilot of flight 1549, allowing him to miraculously land a passenger jet into the Hudson River with ZERO casualties.

While watching and listening to countless passenger accounts, I was taken aback by the consistent theme their messages. No one said that they called upon their inner strength or beckoned the positive energy that we all possess inside. They didn’t talk about empowerment or self enlightenment. Each one interviewed spoke of the calm that went over the passengers and recounted the sight and sound of passengers…praying to God.

This gives me hope. It gives me hope that, in light of the secular movement that is attacking our nation today, when push comes to shove…people still seek God. Isn’t it funny how no one in the media dared challenge the “religious” talk from its interviewees? Isn’t it ironic that the word “miracle” was frequently used by liberal commentators who usually speak of God and religion as organized evils used by the intolerant evangelicals? Where was their censorship today?

When it’s a matter of political correctness and political expediency, people ask God to stand outside and remain silent. When it’s a matter of life and death, people still call on His name. We need only pray that when we need Him, he hasn’t gotten tired of waiting in the lobby and gone home.

Wow, god had NOTHING to do with the survival of those people. Good thing the pilot had the skills to overcome the flock of geese that “god” sent into his engines.

I guess “secular” piloting skills are the only things that can save your life when when plane is crashing. All piloting is “secular” No such thing as Christian (or islamic”) way of piloting a plane. Forget god, praise sullenberger!
